Nice pint. Stopped enroute along the canal. It's like a TARDIS. Only a 4 so I have room to give more when I return for food.
Lovely food and good amount too. Never had a bad meal all the times I have been. A large selection of beer in the fridge and three cast ales that are changed weekly.Specials throughout the week.Monday: curry and a pint 8.95 (1700-2100) Tuesday: any bottle of wine 10.00 (75cl)Wednesday: burger/ chips and pint 6.50 (1800-2100)Thursday: 2 steaks & bottle of wine 28.00Friday: free kids meal with every adults meal (1600-2000)Saturday: carling, Worthing or cast 2.60 (1400-1500)Sunday: bottles of bud, Becks, sol, San Miguel 2 each or 3 for 5 (1600-1800)Plus very friendly staff and locals. Well worth a visit.
Great little pub with fantastic food.
Unusual place. Not really a selection of beer...it was more of a pot-luck as to what was on at the time of your visit. In my mind I could kind of hear duelling banjos for the entire time I was there. Landlord was friendly I guess...well I escaped with all of my teeth and none of anyone eless anyway.
Diverted off the canal path to visit this pub for 'elevenses'only to find it closed, at a time when it would normally be open. However, the caretaker, explaining that the landlord was away, let me in and put the kettle on, so I was able to enjoy a coffee in the company of the friendly resident dog.
