Believed to have been founded in the 6th century by St Aelhaiarn, this church is of early medieval origin. Around the 12th and 13th century core is 14th and 15th century construction along with 19th century restoration work.Once through the imposing door from the south porch, the inside of the church is very impressive. The roof timbers are medieval though the pews, pulpit and rood screen are all 19th century and in fantastic condition. Around the altar are many intricate wood carvings. The churchyard contains many points of interest, including a large Yew tree thought to be around 350 years old. There is little parking specifically for the church but there is some on street and in nearby pub car parks.

Beautiful Church in the heart of the community.
